Fight Fire With Fire
As advances in technology and a continuous stream of new applications make our lives easier, the news reminds us that ‘easy’ does not always mean ‘safe.’ The automobile industry is no exception to the advancements in, and application of, tech tools. As a result, they are not impervious to cyber-crime. Which is why Tesla Motors recently announced plans to hire up to 30 full time hackers. These hackers will analyze Tesla for holes in security. Their job is to find them before other hackers (the ones not on Tesla’s payroll) do, so that they can be fixed before their consumers suffer. Tesla’s proactive approach will likely become a regular part of doing business in this tech age that we live in. Make sure you are taking all available proactive steps. http://www.techtimes.com/articles/14637/20140902/tesla-motors-hiring-hackers-to-improve-security-systems.htm
